On Wednesday at 12:35, our baby girl was born!  She was 4 days early and weighed in at 8 lb 8 oz and 21 inches long!

Everything went smScreen Shot 2015-06-04 at 3.03.46 PMoothly, I love the epidural and it is an amazing thing! I went into labor around 2am so I was up most of the night (which has been the case for all my labors!) We arrived at the hospital at 7:15am, I had the epidural by 8 and was just waiting for hours until the doctor came to check progress, break my water and start pushing! My favorite doctor delivered. I was so lucky and happy!

This was our first middle of the day baby, and I feel like normally they would turn down the lights and we would try to sleep, but instead it was the beginning of the day and we were just looking at each other wondering what to do!Screen Shot 2015-06-04 at 3.03.26 PM

We have had 6am, 11pm and 3am deliveries.  Baby girl was sunny side up so the delivery was a little challenging, leaving me pretty sore!  For #4, you would think it would be easy!   I was pretty sure it was a boy (again) towards the end by the heart rates and way I was carrying. People would even tell me in the store randomly that I was having a boy.
Nope! Another surprise! I love being surprised 🙂

I found a nifty contraction timer around 3am which was super helpful:

Wow! It feels good to not be pregnant anymore,
I am so excited to run when my body feels up to it and I have some energy!
I don’t think I’ll ever be able to go on an elliptical machine again!
And I’m done having babies which is a weird feeling, but I know this is it for me!

My last workout was Tuesday morning, I walked a bit and did some lifting. I was feeling so done!

We’ll be winging it for meals for a bit now!

  1. Amazing! is all I can say, now having been through this myself, I was nowhere nearrrrrrrrrrrr as good as you on the fitness front or just handling everything in general. Congratulations.
