Last week I had my mother in law staying with me to help so I could get out and do some fun things with the older kids without the baby, or with an extra hand. It was really nice to have the help and cross a few things off our summer list. Our last week of summer is approaching now, and we have a few places we want to get to before it comes to an end. I am kind of sad: I love the lack of a schedule, and lazy summer days. But at the same time, it will be nice to get back into the routine.
This week, we did a salad bar one night that the kids loved! And lots of quick easy dinners – mostly salads!
Next week is going to be similar, I am loosely meal planning but throwing things together with what we have on hand.
I got a door to door organics box for 50% off – so between our garden & the box, I’ll use what is in there and not shop for produce this week ahead.
Sunday- Philly CheezeSteaks and broccoli
Monday – Quesadillas with rice & beans
Tuesday -fish tacos and meatless night with Avocado Dill Potatoes! Yes please!
Wednesday- avocado boats with nachos
Thursday- baseball game
Friday- fend
I’m totally not recovered from vacation and have not been to the gym in the early morning since the week before we were away! I am going to try to get back to that routine but I have just been enjoying sleeping in and sneaking in workouts that are 20-30 min high intensity. Lots of tabatas! Here is one that you can find on Blonde Ponytail!
This weekend I am focusing on school breakfasts that are quick and easy, my little (big) guy has to be on the bus right after 8am – ahh!
