Happy gloomy Sunday! I am not excited about meal planning this week, so instead I have an softening, soothing, epsom salt recipe for you!

When I was pregnant this last time, I was obsessed with this epsom salt soak below. I loved putting it in the bath and using it as an exfoliator. I haven’t used it in a while, and thought maybe I could make it!

Why epsom salt?

Epsom salt is known for calming sore muscles, but it is also a natural exfoliant, and can be used in the garden as well!

Magnesium deficiency is a common deficiency, and Epsom salt boosts magnesium levels, which helps us to relax, stress less, and to sleep!

Epsom salt also helps detox by removing old cells and flushing out toxins.

In the tub, add a cup of Epsom salt and enjoy soaking it in.

1 cup epsom salt (I use this one)
3 T avocado oil or olive oil
10 drops lavender essential oil
2 drops lemon essential oil
1 T castile soap

This is versatile – choose which scent you would like to use and use essential oils (except peppermint).  Enjoy!
