I wanted to highlight some foods that I grab for myself on the kids when I’m in a pinch or on the go!
#1 Amazing Grass Superfood. I have been using this brand since 2009, when I was introduced to it through my blog. Food from farms and a great variety packed into a powder. I use the berry flavor to mix into smoothies and yogurt, and the chocolate to make “pudding” and peanut butter balls. Check out the chocolate ingredients:
#2 RX Bars.
These are newer to the market or I just discovered them. Small list of ingredients, sweetened with dates, they pack a great punch of fiber, and they are filling! Check out some flavors and the ingredients!
#3 Go Raw Pumpkin Seeds
I use these on salads, entrees and as a snack for an extra punch of protein! Go Raw sprouts the seeds then dehydrates them!
4. Lara Bar. I like their short ingredient list – real foods – nuts, dates.
5. GT’s kombucha. This is my in between meals snack, or the 4pm”I’m hungry.” I discovered Kombucha years ago when I felt like I was bloated. I didn’t really know the benefits but I liked the weird taste. Now we love the stuff and always have it on hand!
6. Made Good Bars. Not only are they allergen free, but they contain the nutrition of a full serving of vegetables. I love these for the kids’ snacks!
