Aquafaba is the liquid from chick peas after they are drained.  This magic liquid can be used to replace eggs in baking recipes, or whipped like egg whites for recipes calling for whipped egg whites.

How to Use Aquafaba

When are you making crispy chickpeas or hummus, drain and save the liquid.

For baking recipes, you can use it as is!  Three tablespoons of aquafaba can replace one whole egg. Measure it out and add it to the recipe. It works great!  For egg whites or whipping, two tablespoons can replace one egg white.  For egg white meringue consistency, use your whipping attachment and plan to whip for about 10 to 15 minutes. aquafaba as egg replacement
