3 ingredient chocolate icing recipe (VEGAN, GLUTEN FREE)
I love chocolate buttercream! When I am making cakes for an event, I use powdered sugar, butter and almond milk. This is a classic, but I wanted to try something with less sugar. This three ingredient chocolate icing comes together in 2.5 minutes. You can use it for bars, a small cake, brownies, or eat it by itself. It is rich, chocolately and thick. I would use it immediately, as it does not chill well and may harden. If you need to ice a larger cake, double or triple the recipe.
- ½ cup coconut oil, softened, or melted and cooled
- ½ c cacao powder
- ⅓ c maple syrup
- Put all ingredients into the food processor and process until smooth.
- Spread onto cake, bars, eat as is, use immediately!
